In May 2025, our community celebrated Vesak at Santi Monastery, NSW, together with monks and bhikkhus. The event was filled with a sense of peace, devotion, and reflection on the teachings of the Buddha.
The Indian community in Sydney celebrated Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 134th Birth Anniversary with great respect and spirit. The event began with garlanding his portrait, followed by speeches highlighting his vision of equality and justice. Cultural performances, songs, and poetry by children and youth added color to the evening.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments, bringing everyone together to honor Babasaheb’s legacy.

On 17th May 2025, the community will gather at Mount Waverly Community Centre to celebrate Buddha Day, honoring the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinibbana.
